Why are Trista and Courtney feuding?

According to Trista, their tension dates back to 2014, when Trista found out that she was mentioned in Courtney’s book, I Didn’t Come Here to Make Friends: Confessions of a Reality Show Villain, and a podcast that followed its release, which commented on some “mean” tweets Trista posted. Looking back at the podcast, Trista claimed, “The host of the show called me a c**t [and Courtney] laughed about it.”

At the time, Trista reached out to Courtney with an “olive branch” email about her tweets. As Trista put it, “I said, ‘I’m truly so sorry that I hurt your feelings.’ Your email back to me was, ‘I fully accept your apology.'”

“You sent me an olive branch. It felt very fake, I replied,” Courtney retorted. “[But] you still take little jabs at me. I hear everything.” Courtney then referenced a recent podcast where Trista told the host that she never understood Courtney’s “I didn’t come here to make friends” sentiment.

Why did Courtney accuse Trista of treating her like ‘scum’?

Courtney also brought up a Bachelor Mansion event in Malibu following her season. She explained, “So many people reached out to me to support me. You didn’t give me the f**king time of day. Chris Harrison was there, and you treated me like scum.”

Firing back, Trista told her, “I didn’t treat you like scum. I don’t remember that. I don’t remember you even being there, honestly.”

Did Trista and Courtney resolve their feud?

While the goal of their time on Almost Famous was to resolve their tension, their discussion appears to have opened old wounds. Courtney, who is currently going through a divorce from her husband, Humberto Preciado, told Trista, “I just have a lot of s**t going on right now, and this isn’t comfortable for me. I’ve been having panic attacks all day because of what I’m going through, personally. I probably should have skipped the trip.”

Courtney then explained, “This feels a little greedy to try to get us to sit here and hash it out.” In response, Almost Famous podcast producer Heather told Courtney, “That was not the intention. The intention was to squash things. So things have been said. We’ll leave it at that. The goal was resolution. The goal was not to make anybody feel like they were having a panic attack.”
