‘Maxton Hall’: Ruby & James Bring the Romance in New Season 3 Photos
While it wouldn’t be Maxton Hall without some major angst, the Prime Video romance series just released some seriously swoonworthy first-look photos of Ruby (Harriet Herbig-Matten) and James (Damian Hardung) in the forthcoming third season.
As readers of Mona Kasten’s trilogy of the same name know, the final book is also most romantic of the bunch. Though Ruby and James have to overcome the obstacles put in front of them by James’ dad, Mortimer (Fedja van Huêt), including Ruby’s suspension from school, they fight together to clear her name. James and Ruby are a united front for good this time, hence the titled of the third book, Save Us.
They’re also more deeply in love than ever by the third book, and the new Season 3 photos certainly seem to indicate that. The path ahead won’t be easy, but at least James and Ruby will get some dreamy, lighter moments amidst all of their struggles. A motorcycle ride, a lacrosse game, and some heated gazing into each other’s eyes — keep scrolling.
Maxton Hall — The World Between Us, Season 3 Premiere, December 9, Prime Video
Hello, intensity.
OK, so, Ruby and James don’t exactly look happy here, but at least Ruby is back in her school uniform. Based on her hairstyle, it seems not to be immediately after the Season 2 finale. We’ll take that as a win!
We love a supportive lacrosse WAG.
James is back on the lacrosse field in Season 3, and it looks like he’s got his girl cheering him on. Just look at that smile!
MOTORCYCLE.
We’ve seen teases of James riding a motorcycle for months, and the first real look at the scene is even better than we imagined. We’re loving this leather jacket look, and we’re sure Ruby is, too. (Hopefully, James is better at at driving a motorcycle than he is a car.)
Give us smiley Ruby and James, STAT.
Just look at those smiles. (And don’t think we didn’t notice that open shirt.) James and Ruby deserve some carefree moments after all this hardship. Hopefully this moment isn’t interrupted like their Season 2 date was.
We're winning.
We thought it couldn’t get better than the previous photo, but we stand corrected. Give us all the happy RubyJames, Prime Video!
Some more gazing.
This moment looks pretty intense, too, but in the emotional, happy tears kind of way. At least, we hope so.
