Seeking Persephone star Ryann Bailey is engaged! On October 26, the actress, who plays Persephone Lancaster in the Regency romance series, shared a glimpse of the moment she said “yes” to her then-boyfriend and now-fiancé, Nate Morley.
“YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES,” Bailey wrote on Instagram, sharing photos of the proposal that took place at Smokey Ridge Farmstead & Winery in Placerville, California. “I am so absurdly happy. You make my life so full. I might completely believe in soulmates now, because of you.”
Bailey tearfully accepted a ring from Morley, who’s a fellow actor. In the caption, Bailey added that she was shocked Morley managed to surprise her. “Both our families threw me off the trail all weekend,” she acknowledged. “Well played, sir.”
She signed off with, “I love you. I don’t have the words for how much I love you. I can’t wait to marry you.”
Sarah M. Eden, who penned the novel that Seeking Persephone is based on, shared her excitement for the couple in the comments. “You guys!!!!!” the author wrote, to which Bailey replied, “Love you Sarah.”
Hours later, Bailey offered a closer look at her ring on Instagram Stories, revealing it’s a vintage—and fitting for a Regency romance star—French Art Nouveau-style piece.

Bailey and Morley, who was born in Utah, haven’t shared too many details about their romance, though they’ve posted about their relationship several times on social media. Over the summer, Bailey even shared a video of her then-boyfriend asking her fan-submitted questions about Seeking Persephone.
The couple met just ahead of filming 2023’s Mythica: Stormbound, which was directed by Bailey’s fellow Seeking Persephone co-lead, Jake Stormoen. On Facebook, Bailey wrote, “I actually knew [Morley’s] sister before the film but we met several weeks before we started filming to go through our scenes and get to know each other a bit!”
They’ve since acted together in several projects, including the 2025 short film Java Jive. This past June, Bailey moved to Los Angeles with Morley. “I keep thinking just how grateful I am @nate.morley paused so much of his life to make this move with me,” she wrote on Instagram. “Life feels so much more possible with you. you make me brave. mon coeur.”
