‘Rose Hill’ Series Casts Future Leads: All About Elsie Silver’s ‘Wild Love’ Adaptation
After actors playing Rose Hill‘s core four were announced, two more future leads joined the cast: Tabitha and Bash. We also know who’s playing West and Ford’s kids!
Based on Elsie Silver’s country romance books, Prime Video’s upcoming series will adapt Wild Love, which follows record executive Ford Grant and his best friend’s little sister, Rosie Belmont. They have an interconnected love story with Rosie’s brother, West, and pop star Skylar. They lead Silver’s second book in the series.
Scroll to find out all the details about Season 1, including who’s been cast so far, when the series will premiere, and more.
What is Rose Hill about?
Season 1 of Rose Hill will follow Wild Love, the first novel in Silver’s mega-popular series. Prime revealed to Deadline, “The first season of the series will follow the story from the first novel, Wild Love. The story centers on best friends and neighbors West Belmont, a rancher with commitment issues, and brooding record label owner Ford Grant, aka Forbes’ ‘World’s Hottest Billionaire,’ who’s long carried a torch for West’s sister, Rosie. And when country-pop star Skylar Stone breezes into their rugged mountain town, the heat gets turned way up in this romantic family drama.”
Heidi Cole McAdams, a producer and writer for The 100, is set as the showrunner for the series. Temple Hill, the producers of Off Campus, are also involved in bringing the Rose Hill world to life.
When the adaptation was announced, Silver wrote to her readers, “In a true ‘pinch me’ moment I am beyond thrilled to share that my Rose Hill series is in development for television! I’m honored to be working with an incredible team at @amazonmgmstudios and @templehillent. I know that these characters are in the best hands and cannot wait to see this very special town come to life on screen.”
Who has been cast in Rose Hill?
The Rose Hill cast is spot on! Model Sean O’Pry — yes, the guy from Taylor Swift‘s “Blank Space” video — will play Ford Grant. The Institute actress Hannah Galway is set to play Rosie Belmont. Animal Kingdom star Jake Weary has been cast as West Belmont, alongside 24-year-old actress and singer Sadie Dickerson (Broadway’s Just In Time) as Skylar Stone.

Siobhan McGroarty has been cast as Cora, a series regular role. In the books, Cora is Ford’s biological daughter from a sperm donation. McGroarty is an Irish-American actress and model who recently graduated from LaGuardia High School. She’s currently a student at the University of Michigan.

Other series regulars are Sophia Reid-Gantzert and West Mulholland, who will play West’s kids from a previous relationship. Emmy actress Reid-Gantzert, who doubles as an accomplished ballerina, is known for Netflix’s Free Bert, Scaredy Cats, and The Babysitters Club. Oliver actor Mulholland has appeared in Steven Soderbergh’s Presence, Animal Kingdom, and more.

Gigi Zumbado (CBS’ DMV) is playing the recurring guest role of Tabitha, who goes on to become the main character in Silver’s Wild Side. Curtis Hamilton (HBO’s Insecure) will star as Bash Rousseau, the male lead of Silver’s Wild Card. He’s a recurring guest star in Season 1.
Silver has already confirmed that one character won’t be cast in the adaptation. On Instagram, a fan asked when Willa would be cast in the series. As readers know, Willa is introduced as Ford’s sister. She becomes the lead in Heartless, which is part of Silver’s spinoff series Chestnut Springs. It takes place in a different town, though the characters cross over between the book series.
That won’t be the case in the adaptation. “All the worlds are separate for TV so there’s no Willa in Rose Hill,” Silver responded to the fan. It’s likely due to the fact that Netflix is adapting Chestnut Hill, so they own the rights to Willa’s character over Prime Video.
What is Rose Hill’s release date?
There’s no set filming or premiere date yet, but the show is officially in production. Along with the casting announcement, Prime Video revealed on July 27 that Rose Hill is currently filming. We’d expect to see the series hit screens in early 2028 or late 2027 at the earliest.
