Fan-favorite Dancing With the Stars pro Jan Ravnik is welcoming a special guest for Season 35‘s Dedication Night!
During an interview with E! News, Ravnik revealed alongside his partner, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Tatyana Ali, that his mom will be in attendance at the October 20 live show after traveling to the States from Slovenia. This marks the first time that she has been able to sit in the audience at the ballroom dance competition.
He revealed after last week’s episode, “She’s coming tomorrow. The flight was cancelled — KLM, you’re on DTM — But yes, she’s coming tomorrow, and then she’s going to watch next Tuesday and then flying out on Wednesday.”
Of course, this doesn’t just mark her first time in the ballroom. He shared, “It’s special because, also, she never saw me dancing in America, which, yeah, I’m excited for that. And I’m excited that I have a partner to meet her.”
Ravnik previously posted a video showing just how close he and his mom are, writing, “No matter how far apart, every win is still ours to celebrate.”

When Ravnik finally closed on a house in Los Angeles, which fans know was a major saga, one of the first things he did was reveal that one of his bedrooms was specifically for his mom. He told his fans that he wanted to make it “a little bit more homey for her” before she flew in.
Now that she is here, he’s kept their time together fairly private. However, he did document their time at a nail salon, where they both got their first manicure. He explained, laughing, “It was a weird feeling, but we got it. They asked, ‘What color, miss, do you want?’ and she’s like, ‘No color.'” Now, the mother/son duo will be stunning for Dedication Night!
