'This Is Us' Sneak Peek: Jack and Rebecca's Wedding Pictures
In advance of Tuesday’s episode of This is Us, I went perusing through the NBC press site in search of clues about what’s gonna happen to the Pearson clan. I was missing my fav new fam, and needed a little fix before the episode airs. So when I saw pics of Mandy Moore's character, Rebecca Pearson, in a wedding dress, I pretty much lost my mind and had to share (see photos above).
Is Rebecca enough of a style icon to make flower crowns a thing for wedding season 2017? I rocked a maroon one when I was a junior bridesmaid in the 1980’s, and Mandy/Rebecca’s influence could launch a resurgence among the Boho set. But let’s hope that the camel-colored jacket and vest combo sported by husband of the year, Jack (Milo Ventimiglia), does not catch on. #Dated.
Take a peek at tonight's episode, "I Call Marriage."
"Toby throws a wrench in Kate's weight loss journey. Randall struggles to accept his father's deteriorating health. Miguel and Shelly break some devastating news to Jack and Rebecca, which makes them worry about their own relationship. Rebecca receives an amazing work opportunity. Kevin examines his romantic past." Thanks, NBC! (Have your brain insert "The More You Know" music here.) I have it on good account that Mandy will sing in tonight's episode. Squee!
I need to hand out pre-emptive awards based on the hilarity of two pictures. In the last episode, Toby (Chris Sullivan) showed up at “fat camp” to surprise Kate (Chrissy Metz); and it looks like Toby has brought his A-game, his jazz hands and his light-up shoes. Oh, Toby, I love you so hard; can you and Kate get married already?! (You never know, the show's flashbacks often mirror what’s going on in the present day, so an impromptu wedding would be an AMAZING, Dan Fogelman-esque twist.)
Also in the last episode, we were shocked to learn that Kevin (Justin Hartley) is married to Kate’s former BFF, Sophie (Alexandra Breckenridge). This week, we’ll get some of the back history on that relationship, but first, I’d love to call out the unnamed background actor in this promo pic for rocking an epic RBF (Resting Bitch Face). You go, girl! Way to commit to your craft!
