The CW Fall Trailers: ‘Frequency’, ‘No Tomorrow’ and the Arrival of Supergirl

The CW closed Upfront week with their presentation this morning, and released trailers for two of their new shows, debuting this fall. They also put out a trailer of sorts for a show that’s new to them, Supergirl.

The clip The CW provided was from this season’s Flash crossover episode, but come on, folks: who doesn’t want to see these two meet cute one more time?

Frequency

A reboot of the 2000 Dennis Quaid movie, with a much more interesting premise: This time Frank Sullivan and his daughter (not son) communicate between 1996 and 2016, and there’s no surprise that she helps him avoid his fate. It’s what happens after Frank survives, and how it affects people in their lives, that this series explores.

No Tomorrow

An uptight worker drone meets a man who thinks the world is going to end in eight months and wants her to check off items from her bucket list. It’s the type of quirky comedy that The CW has eaten up with a spoon lately, and this seems to fit right in with Jane The Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
