The honeymoon is over!

Now that The Odd Couple’s hopelessly mismatched roomies, slovenly Oscar Madison (Matthew Perry) and neurotic Felix Unger (Thomas Lennon), are back for Season 2, “we’re focusing more on them re-entering the dating world,” says exec producer Bob Daily. “They’re deeply embedded in each other’s lives—and that gives us the opportunity to explore other relationships.”

Felix’s budding romance with neighbor Emily (Lindsay Sloane) will deepen, while Oscar meets his (age-appropriate!) match when Teri Hatcher begins an arc on April 21 as a sophisticated, whip-smart single mom. But first: In the season premiere, the roomies will be thrilled to discover that they can eavesdrop on the squabbling married couple upstairs. Says Daily with a laugh, “Every writer in our writers’ room had been in a situation where they could overhear their neighbors—and took full advantage of it!”
