Supergirl will fly high through at least the remainder of this season.

CBS is set to announce this morning that the comic book drama has been given an order of seven additional episodes, bringing its freshman tally to 20. That’s slightly below the standard 22-episode season, but Supergirl began later in the fall (on Oct. 26), which means the network didn’t need quite as many episodes.

The Supergirl order means that every one of CBS’ freshman class was given additional episodes beyond their initial 13. New drama Limitless and comedy Life in Pieces each received a full “back nine,” for 22 total episodes, while medical drama Code Black recently landed five more episodes.

According to CBS, the show averages 11.2 million among total viewers season-to-date (which includes some Live + 7 DVR and VOD lift data)  and is up 46% with viewers its Monday 8/7c time slot vs. last year’s comedies. (Supergirl was also named one of TV’s new trend of kick-ass leading women by TV Guide Magazine.)

Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood and Calista Flockhart star in Supergirl, which is based on the DC Comics property. Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler, Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter are executive producers, while Warner Bros. TV is the studio.
