NBC has its ninjas, while Fox is about to have its grit.

Fox has ordered the 10-episode reality show American Grit, hosted by WWE star John Cena.

The show will follow sixteen men and women, split into four teams as they face a variety of military-grade and survival-themed challenges.

Cena will push the contestants along with military veterans who will serve as mentors, include Rorke Denver, Noah Galloway, Tawanda “Tee” Hanible and Nick “The Reaper” Irving.

The first team to complete the challenges together is safe from elimination, while each episode ends with “The Circus,” an endurance-based obstacle course.

The prize for the show, which comes from Leftfield Pictures, could be worth as much as $1 million, according to Fox.

“The U.S Military is the epitome of resolve and dedication, which is why I am so excited to be a part of American Grit,” said Cena. “This show will not only be a challenging and fierce competition, but it will give viewers a glimpse into the perseverance and training of the men and women of the Armed Forces.”

American Grit is a bold, aspirational competition series that aligns with the spirit of the Fox unscripted brand,” said David Madden, Fox Entertainmnent president.

Cena is an executive producer with Brent Montgomery, David George, Adam Sher, Will Nothacker and Jon Kroll. No word yet on an air date.
