High off the news that NBC had picked up the freshman thriller Blindspot for a full season, the show’s cast and producer took to New York Comic Con on Sunday afternoon to tease what’s coming up for the remaining 19 episodes. Though Jaimie Alexander wasn’t present at the panel due to a cold, executive producer Martin Gero and his stars Sullivan Stapleton, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Rob Brown, Audrey Esparza and Ashley Johnson had plenty to share. Here’s what viewers have to look forward to this first season.

Jane is still Jane.

She may have been identified as Taylor Shaw by Weller, but Jane Doe will still be known as Jane Doe on the show. “She doesn’t really identify as Taylor,” said Gero, explaining that she was so young when she went missing that there aren’t many memories to uncover.

Patterson’s home life will be explored.

Ashley Johnson’s character will be expanded in Monday night’s episode. “Patterson has a boyfriend, which is cool,” Johnson said, adding, “He’s probably the most adorable boyfriend in all TV.”

You’ll learn more about Kurt Weller’s fellow agents soon too.

Gero revealed at a roundtable prior to the panel that the show would soon start to feel like more of an ensemble drama, rather than a sole focus on its two leads (Stapleton and Alexander). This means there will be an exploration into who Edgar Reade (Brown) and Tasha Zapata (Esparza) are as characters. Of the latter, Esparza hinted, “You guys are going to learn about her vices and how they affect her FBI family.”

Mayfair might not be so bad.

Despite how the last episode ended, it’s too soon to jump to conclusions about Mayfair’s loyalty. “I would say Mayfair is doing things toward the greater good,” said Jean-Baptiste. But that guy we saw her meeting? He’s the real deal. “Carter’s kind of the big bad of the season,” said Gero.

The landscape will be broadened.

Literally. The seventh episode will take us outside of New York to Michigan, and a later episode will feature an international location. When the actors on the panel jubilantly responded to that news, Gero quickly added, “We don’t get to actually go [film] there, though!”

There are clues in the episode titles.

Gero revealed that fans who pay close attention to the titles could unlock spoilers. In fact, someone already solved the riddle by episode two, so he’s planning on making another puzzle for the second half of the season that will be more difficult to decipher. For those still playing along, this is what we’ve got so far: “A Stray Howl,” “Eight Slim Grins” and “Bone May Rot.”

There will be a huge midseason cliffhanger.

Gero revealed that the show’s tenth episode will serve as the midseason finale before it returns in 2016, and that it will feature a major cliffhanger you won’t want to miss. “It’s juicy!” promised Brown.
