Michael Chiklis  ain’t the only daddio coming to Gotham. At the Fox drama’s New York Comic Con panel this afternoon, executive producer John Stephens revealed that Paul Reubens would be joining the show’s second season in the recurring guest role of Oswald Cobblepot’s (Robin Lord Taylor) father.

This is not the first time Reubens has marched with the Penguin, of course. In 1992’s big-screen sequel, Batman Returns, the former Pee-Wee Herman made a cameo as Tucker Cobblepot, the shamed Gotham aristocrat who thought he was disposing of his deformed baby Oswald by pushing his stroller into a river. While we all know that the tot survived and grew up to become Danny DeVito’s version of the Penguin, it had yet to be revealed if Lord Taylor’s incarnation will have the same dark daddy issues. Although given his relationship with that crazy mother of his (Carol Kane), we would not be surprised if things between father and son are even more demented.

Reubens was most recently seen causing trouble on The Blacklist as Mr. Vargas.
