The end is finally in sight for Nashville, two years after the show moved from ABC  to CMT.

In November of last year, the country network announced that the sixth season of the hit show would also be its last, and now we have a first look at the final episodes of the series, which begins airing Thursday, June 7,

There’s no denying that after Connie Britton’s exit from the show was a sure sign of things to come, but nevertheless fans will be glad to know that they’ll get to enjoy Juliette (Hayden Panettiere), Deacon (Charles Esten), and the gang for a little longer once the midseason premiere arrives.

Along with this announcement, CMT also revealed when the series finale will officially air. Nash fans, mark your calendars, as Thursday, July 26 brings the big final episode!

But before we say goodbye, Nashville will also be adding some new faces with Ronny Cox (True Detective) and Mia Maestro (Scandal) set to appear as recurring characters. Cox will play Gideon, Deacon’s father who is trying to make amends with his son after years of alcoholism. Recently recovered, Gideon had resented his son for the success he had and once dreamed for himself.

Ronny Cox and Mia Maestro will appear in the final episodes of Nashville.

Maestro will play Rosa, one of Darius’ (Josh Stamberg) followers in the Movement, but she’s beginning to have second thoughts.

Only eight episodes are left, but it sounds like with the addition of these exciting new characters there will be plenty of material to enjoy when the show returns. Just check out the new teaser for the midseason premiere below:
