Here's Your First Look at Atom on DC's Legends of Tomorrow! (PHOTO)
Up and Atom! With a little over a month before the premiere of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, we're getting a good look at Brandon Routh's Ray Palmer in all of his Atom-ic awesomeness with this just-released piece of key art. Of course, we've seen Ray in action before, having previously charmed us as Felicity's high-tech hunk of a boss on Arrow, but let's be honest: There is never too much Brandon Routh.
How Ray winds up as part of the Legends crew is still a mystery—when we last saw him, Team Arrow had rescued the mini-man from Damien Darhk using the nanotech that wound up shrinking him in the first place—but we do know that he already shares a past with at least one of his fellow heroes. "Martin Stein [Victor Garber] used to be Ray Palmer’s professor and they kind of hate each other," laughs executive producer Marc Guggenheim, who is thrilled with the mashup spinoff's entire roster of characters.
"The Flash and Arrow are each centered around one hero. Here, it’s a true team, it’s a true ensemble drama," continues Guggenheim. "Geoff Johns watched the pilot over the weekend and he said it’s like a comic-book come to life!"
