Late Night Rewind recaps the best moments from after-hours television. Here’s what you missed the night of Sunday, August 2:

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

John Oliver enlisted some kids to help him sing in support of D.C. statehood.

"There are 50 states in total and we'll sing their names with glee / But there's one place that gets shafted and it's Washington, D.C.," sang the chorus of children.

“It’s true. It’s horrifying, but it’s true. What’s a solution, do you think?” John Oliver asked.

“Let them have gun laws! Let them have weed! Let them decide the things that they need!” the kids sang.

Added Oliver to end the song: "And if you're totally convinced that there should be just 50 states / Well then let's all kick out Florida 'cause no one thinks they're great."

Watch What Happens Live (Bravo)

Christina Applegate refused to reveal why she ditched Brad Pitt mid-date.

“Who was the guy that you ditched Brad Pitt for,” Andy Cohen asked during a game of ‘Plead the Fifth’ on Watch What Happens Live.

“How many fifths do I get? … I have to say it? I don’t have to do nothing. I don’t have to do nothing,” realized Christina Applegate.

“She got all trailer park on you, bro,” noted Mark Consuelos.
