Get ready for plenty of sex, drugs and rock and roll.

NBC is flashing back to Los Angeles circa 1967 in the new period procedural Aquarius (premiering Thursday, May 28 at 9/8c).

The X-Files alum David Duchovny hits the streets as homicide detective Sam Hodiak, a no-nonsense cop whose search for a missing teenage girlleads him to an investigation into a young hippie named Charles Manson (Game of Thrones' Gethin Anthony). In order to infiltrate Manson's underground community, Hodiak enlists the help of undercover officer Brian Shafe (Friday Night Lights' Grey Damon) and learns the true meaning of "flower power."

Check out a behind the scenes video featuring brand new interviews with the cast, as Duchovny discusses the role of law enforcement in an era rife with change, while Anthony reveals the process of getting into the mind of America's most famous mass murderer.
