Not to mix Wednesday night shows about the music industry, but Rayna (Connie Britton) and Deacon’s (Charles Esten) relationship brings to mind the “up down up down up down” lines from Lucious Lyon’s “You’re So Beautiful” on Empire. Tonight, Rayna goes on down to Natchez, Mississippi, to rustle up some help in fighting Deacon’s cancer. In better news, Juliette gets some of her non-mommy mojo back in a killer rooftop performance, so maybe she can have it all.
