What’s Worth Watching: American Idol’s Top 12 Ladies Perform

From the moment Adanna Duru gave us Gaga realness with her “You and I” audition, she’s had our ear. Tonight, the 17-year-old and her fellow female contestants get a chance to earn our support when the Top 12 ladies perform for those coveted text-message votes. And we’re hearing through the grapevine that the song list features some very interesting selections, possibly including numbers by Taylor Swift, Rihanna and one of the Idol judges.

This is the point where the show really starts to kick in, and if these chanteuses—many of whom are still in their teens—can keep up the level of vocal power they’ve been delivering in the preliminary rounds, this season could actually get fans singing Idol‘s praises again.
