Jackie and The Magnificent Seven star Peter Sarsgaard has joined the ensemble of Hulu's original drama series The Looming Tower.
The 46-year-old actor will play Martin Schmidt, "a CIA analyst who invariably believes he's by far the smartest person in the room" in the 10-episode drama, a press release from the streaming service said.
Fox's gritty new event series 'Shots Fired' chronicles the racially-charged investigation of a shooting in North Carolina.
Co-starring Jeff Daniels, Tahar Rahim, Michael Stuhlberg, Bill Camp, Virginia Kull, Louis Cancelmi and Sullivan Jones, the show is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning exposé by Lawrence Wright.
"The Looming Tower traces the rising threat of Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida, and takes a controversial look at how the rivalry between the CIA and FBI may have inadvertently set the stage for the tragedy of 9/11 and the war in Iraq," the press release said.
