'Training Day' Moving From Thursdays to Saturdays

CBS says it is moving the late Bill Paxton's freshman cop drama Training Day from Thursday nights to Saturday evenings.

Training Day will air in its new 9 p.m. timeslot, starting April 8.

The small-screen follow-up to the 2001, Denzel Washington-Ethan Hawke movie of the same name debuted in February.

'Training Day' star Bill Paxton died last Saturday at age 61.

All 13 episodes of the show's first season reportedly were filmed before Paxton died on Feb. 25 from a stroke following heart surgery. He was 61.
