‘Blue Bloods’ Sets Date for Episode 250

We knew it was coming, but now we have an air date for a major milestone for Blue Bloods in Season 12.
The CBS procedural drama, which is Friday’s perennial top series in viewers, will be celebrating its 250th episode on March 11, in its usual time slot, 10/9c. While we don’t have any details yet about the episode, it’s safe to say that there will be a Reagan family dinner, but will it be just like it always is or might there be something different? Will anyone be joining Frank (Tom Selleck), Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), Erin (Bridget Moynahan), Jamie (Will Estes), Henry (Len Cariou), Eddie (Vanessa Ray), and Sean (Andrew Terraciano) at the table?
The cast celebrated the 250th episode on January 26, with both Moynahan and Marisa Ramirez (who plays Detective Maria Baez, Danny’s partner and one of the few non-family members to score that coveted dinner invite) sharing photos of the cupcakes for the occasion. “This is happening. Right now! 250 family dinners! Quite the accomplishment #proud #blessed #grateful #bluebloodsfamily,” Moynahan wrote.

“When two weeks turned into nine years for me,” Ramirez noted. “How did I get so lucky?! Congrats to everyone who has been a part of making this show a success!! Don’t know where I would be without my bestie @donniewahlberg P.S. I’m not taking this out of the box because it will end up in my tummy but I can save it for you!” Wahlberg commented, “Same!!!” on her post.

Before the 250th airs, there are two new episodes. On February 25 in “Allegiance,” Erin and Anthony (Steven Schirripa) team up with Erin’s nephew Joe Hill (Will Hochman) to course-correct a trial when Joe becomes aware of witness tampering. Plus, Baez forces Danny to help her find who killed her favorite TV personality, Frank investigates criminal ties in Lt. Raymond Moretti’s (guest star Tony Danza) family after a seemingly random shooting at his house, and Eddie questions her decision to become a sergeant when she works an SVU case. No information has been released about March 7’s episode as of yet.
The special occasion for Blue Bloods comes a few weeks before several other milestones on CBS: The Bold and the Beautiful‘s 35th anniversary on March 23, Young Sheldon‘s 100th episode on March 31, and S.W.A.T.‘s 100th episode on April 10.
