AMC’s Shudder Delivers Horror with ‘Beyond The Walls’, ‘Tales From The Darkside’ Series
If you’re needing more frights as we inch closer to Halloween, AMC is lending a hand by today launching their new horror streaming service, Shudder. With a new on-demand subscription, Shudder also offers a Halloween Essentials collection with hundred of film and television titles to get your scream on.
One fear-filled title is the French miniseries, Beyond The Walls. In the three-part series, 30-year old Lisa (Veerle Baetens) inherits an uninhabited old house which, surprise, just happens to have a parallel world existing behind its walls. In her journey into this other world, she meets Julien (Francois Deblock), a soldier who seems to be from another era, who may or may not be able to help her navigate the different worlds. The miniseries also stars Geraldine Chaplin (Doctor Zhivago, Sand Dollars), daughter of silent film great Charlie Chaplin. All three episodes are available on Shudder now.

In the Beyond The Wals clip, Julien and Lisa try their best to figure out the intricacies of the house, which seems to have an endless number of rooms and also somehow doesn’t have windows. Freaky, right?
In addition to the Halloween Essentials Collection, Shudder has also added four seasons (83 episodes) of the George Romero-produced anthology horror series, Tales From The Darkside. The syndicated series from the 1980s featured written by and adapted stories from horror writers like Stephen King. John Cheever and Clive Barker.
