Who Will Make It Through the ‘Bachelor’ 2-on-1, Shanae or Genevieve? (POLL)

'The Bachelor,' Season 26, Episode 5, Genevieve and Shanae, two-on-one date
ABC

Episode 5 of The Bachelor only teased the beginning of Shanae and Genevieve’s intense 2-on-1 date, so the question of which unlucky lady will be sent home is still up in the air going into the February 14 episode of Clayton Echard‘s season.

Piecing together hints from promos and the women’s Bachelor journeys thus far, we’ve put together several reasons why both Shanae and Genevieve will or won’t be the rose recipient. Who do you think will make it through the date? Vote in the poll down below!

Shanae

'The Bachelor,' Season 26, Shanae

ABC/Ricky Middlesworth

What is there to say about Shanae that hasn’t already been said? She quickly claimed the spot of this season’s villain after Cassidy’s downfall in Episode 3 and she’s done whatever it takes to “win” Clayton ever since. You might as well give her an Emmy or an Oscar for how many times she has manipulated the situation in her favor. Thankfully, the women have seen right through her charade, but nothing has gotten through to Clayton so far, and instead, many have unintentionally taken themselves down in trying to stop Shanae’s evil reign.

In Episode 5, Shanae convincingly apologized to Clayton (though she didn’t clarify for what), which bought her more time as she and current enemy Genevieve were invited on the 2-on-1 at Niagara Falls.

In the promo for Episode 6, Shanae puts her acting game on full display, doing anything she can to save herself, including possibly lying about Genevieve. “Last night, she wanted to go home and she was wanting to pack her bags,” she tells him.

On the other hand, Shanae is not shown in the rest of the season’s promo, so perhaps we will finally see the end of “Sha-nay-nay.”

Genevieve

'The Bachelor,' Season 26, Genevieve

ABC/Ricky Middlesworth

Genevieve and Clayton have built a pretty solid connection so far, though she’s definitely not at the top of the pack right now. Genevieve has never been afraid to call out Shanae on her schemes but as any Bachelor Nation fan knows, those who spend their time wrapped up in villain drama don’t last very long (Elizabeth, Sierra, etc.).

Going into the Niagara Falls date, it looks like Genevieve’s tactic will be reasserting her true intentions to Clayton, as she tells him in the promo, “I’m sorry that sometimes I seem distant. I am all in.” But one moment from the preview makes us worry for Genevieve’s fate, as Clayton asks her, “Are you an actress and are you lying to me?” It would be unfortunate to see Genevieve added to Shanae’s list of undeserving victims, but it is certainly a possibility.

Neither

One could argue that the best way for Clayton to end all the drama would be to eliminate them both. While Genevieve may not deserve it, her relationship with him could be tainted by “the Shanae of it all.” Neither are seen in the promo for the rest of the season, so while one rose was promised, it may not be given to either.
