Change is coming on the February 16 episode of Nashville. “For several of our characters, it is a turning point,” previews executive producer Marshall Herskovitz. Rayna (Connie Britton) and Deacon (Charles Esten) face a new challenge with her stalker, while Scarlett (Clare Bowen) connects with director Damien (Christian Coulson) after their fraught music video shoot. “He pushed her beyond what she considered to be her limits, but then she ended up responding and feeling like she gained something,” Herskovitz says. “That’s a ripe situation for drama.”

As for Juliette (Hayden Panettiere, left, with Rhiannon Giddens), still recovering from last season’s plane crash, she hopes a church choir will work with her on a new album. “She’s really trying to change her trajectory,” adds Herskovitz. “She is also artistically inspired by what she’s hearing at the church.”

Nashville, airs Thursday, February 16, 9/8c, CMT.
