If a warm, cozy feeling and a desire to linger over a big cup of coffee comes over you while looking at these pictures of the new season of Gilmore Girls, we wouldn't be surprised. Netflix just released the first set of photos from the four-episode revival, written and produced by Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband Daniel Palladino. In this photo, Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her daughter/best friend Rory (Alexis Bledel) are talking in a familiar spot: the dining room table at Lorelai's house.

Oh look, Lorelai and Luke (Scott Patterson) are holding hands. Does that mean the perpetually star-crossed couple are in an "on again" stage? Maybe they're actually married! I guess we'll have to tune in and find out.

Ah, Stars Hollow! Never change. It looks like Miss Patty (Liz Torres) and Babbette (Sally Struthers) are mounting Stars Hollow: The Musical, and Lorelai and Rory are looking to audition. What roles are they going for? We'd like to see Rory play Kirk.

Has Rory abandoned her career as a journalist? When we left her at the end of Season 7 she was about to leave Stars Hollow to follow Barack Obama on his presidential campaign. How did she end up in front of a classroom?

We know that Lorelai's mother Emily (Kelly Bishop) is going to open the season trying to deal with the loss of her husband Richard (the late Edward Herrmann). But we also know that she's as strong as her daughter and granddaughter, so she'll put on her usual calm facade.

The Stars Hollow town meetings were among our favorite scenes; good to see everyone in town still shows up. Here, it looks like Luke and Lorelai aren't happy. If Taylor Doose (Michael Winters) is still the mayor, that's a pretty frequent occurrence.

In this shot Rory and her grandmother Emily are in some intense, moodily lit discussions. The relationship among the three women who make up the "Gilmore girls" has always been complicated, but Rory and her grandma have always been tight. Is that still the case?
