There’s no question that you can’t stop the beat knowing that Hairspray Live! is coming to NBC on December 7, but fans of the musical are getting a treat during tonight’s Olympics broadcast on NBC.

As the games in Rio wind down this weekend, the Peacock network is unveiling a first-look promo featuring the Hairspray Live! cast in costume for the first time.

Set in the 1960s in Baltimore, Maryland, the story follows teenager Tracy Turnblad (played by newcomer Maddie Baillio) as she joins popular television dance show, The Corny Collins Show, and not only experiences romance but also lobbies for racial integration.

While many male performers (John Travolta, George Wendt) have donned a dress and wig to play Tracy’s lovable mother, the character of Edna will always belong to Harvey Fierstein, who originated the role on Broadway and won a Tony as a result. Thankfully, Fierstein is back as Edna in NBC’s production and while powerhouses like Jennifer Hudson, Kristin Chenoweth and Ariana Grande may be amongst the cast, Hairspray Live! would be missing something without the gravely-voiced actor.

The cast of Hairspray Live! also includes Martin Short, Derek Hough, Dove Cameron, Garrett Clayton as well as special guest stars Sean Hayes, Andrea Martin and Rosie O’Donnell.
