Upronts keep rolling along: According to THR, CBS has announced the renewal of The Odd Couple, Code Black and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.

All three were what we’d call “bubble-ish” shows. Yes, CBS didn’t renew any of them early, but they’re all solid but not spectacular ratings performers. The Matthew Perry-starring remake of the TV and movie classic sitcom has retained as much if not more of the Big Bang Theory lead in as the show it replaced, Life in Pieces. And it seems like it now might be the Eye net’s designated “utility player,” a role that in years past has been filled by shows like Mike & Molly and Rules of Engagement; it is kept in reserve to plug holes when needed.

Beyond Borders, starring Gary Sinise, has averaged over 10 million viewers when seven days of DVR viewing is factored in, and CBS just loves to help franchises along whenever it can. Code Black was more on the bubble than the other two, having had its back-end episode order cut from nine to five. But the show will get 17 episodes next season, with some creative changes and new cast members coming.

Also announced was the cancellation of Rush Hour after one low-rated season.

Still no word on Limitmess.
