NBC has renewed its first comedy for fall: The freshman Superstore will be keeping its doors open for business.

Superstore joins The Blacklist, Blindspot, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago P.D., Law & Order: SVU and Shades of Blue, all of which have also already been picked up for next year.

On the comedy side, fellow freshman Telenovela remains in contention for next year, NBC said, along with other comedies (including Undateable and the soon-to-return The Carmichael Show.)

NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke called Superstore "so incredibly funny and relatable, full of great characters who are brought to life by an amazing cast and creative team."

Superstore, which stars America Ferrera and Ben Feldman, is averaging a 2.1 rating among adults 18-49 and 6.9 million viewers overall this season, according to “live plus seven day” numbers.

According to NBC, the show is its highest rated first-year comedy in two years.

Ferrera stars as a megastore employee, while Feldman plays its newest hire. Colton Dunn, Nico Santos, Nichole Bloom, Mark McKinney and Lauren Ash also star.

Justin Spitzer created the show and executive produces with director Ruben Fleischer, David Bernad and Gabe Miller & Jonathan Green. Ferrera is also a producer.

Universal Television is the studio.
