What’s Worth Watching: ‘The Americans’ Gets Baptized By Gunfire

The Americans, “Born Again” (Wednesday, March 4, 10/9c, FX)

This has been a fairly gnarly season of The Americans. Bodies broken to fit into suitcases; Gabriel (Frank Langella) asking Elizabeth (Keri Russell) to turn her 14-year-old daughter, Paige (Holly Taylor), into a sleeper KGB agent; Philip (Matthew Rhys) forced to allow a 15-year-old girl to seduce him. But what Elizabeth really fears is her daughter’s upcoming baptism. At least it’s not Scientology, Liz.
