You're the Worst will continue being the worst—and that's the best news for anyone who feels a kinship with reluctant couple Jimmy (Chris Geere) and Gretchen (Aya Cash).

FXX announced today that they have ordered a third season of the raunchy, smart and so-addictive sitcom, set to air sometime in the summer of 2016. Hailing creator and executive producer Stephen Falk as "one of the best talents in comedy," co-president of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions Nick Grad added in the announcement that the show—"already one of the most critically-acclaimed comedies on television"— is also "one of the most innovative" and that its daring storytelling (most recently on display in the frank portrayal of Gretchen's depression) is "something Stephen and the cast will continue in the much-deserved third season."

The deal also sets up Falk with a multiyear gig writing, developing and producing projects for the FX folks. it's like Christmas has come early!
