Now that he is in full-fledged villain territory, Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) really needs to be more careful about covering his tracks. In this exclusive clip from Monday’s episode, Nygma is on the phone with an unknown caller (hopefully it’s new roomie Oswald, because we stand with this odd couple, 24/7) when Dr. Hottie Tompkins (Morena Baccarin) overhears him and assumes it’s his gal pal Kristen Kringle (Chelsea Spack).

Of course, we know that one ain’t getting cell service from beyond the grave, but Lee has no clue and begins to grill the geeky forensics guy about her whereabouts. What he comes up with is a passable explanation, but given Lee’s tenacity, we’re not so sure she’s totally buying the sob story he sells her. Which means Gordon’s lady love could be putting herself in a killer’s cross-hairs and not even know it.
