Rosewood will remain on the case for the rest of the season.

Fox has ordered a full season of the rookie drama, which has enjoyed an Empire halo effect (airing before the mega-hit hip-hop soap on Wednesday nights at 8/7c). Season-to-date, Rosewood is averaging 7.3 million viewers and a solid 2.2 rating among adults 18-49.

The order is a full "back nine," bringing the season's episodic count to 22.

Rosewood has proven to be a real self-starter for us, which is a tremendous feat on this highly competitive night," says Fox entertainment president David Madden. "Todd Harthan, Morris, Jaina, Lorraine and the entire cast and crew have done a fantastic job creating a gorgeous, sexy world that is the perfect complement to Empire. The upcoming episodes are so compelling as we build out the family dynamics, and with today’s order, we’re excited to explore the world of Rosewood even further this season.”

Set in Miami, Rosewood stars Morris Chestnut as Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr., the city's top private pathologist. Along with Det. Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz), they set out to help Miami police solve challenging cases. Lorraine Toussaint, Gabrielle Dennis, Anna Konkle and Domenick Lombardozzi also star. Taye Diggs is set to appear in multiple episodes starting in November.

Todd Harthan created the show, which is executive produced by Harthan, Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen. 20th Century Fox TV is the studio.
