Newsy

Late Night Rewind recaps the best moments from after-hours television. Here’s what you missed the night of Tuesday, September 1.

Tonight Show (NBC)

Anthony Sadler, one of the American students who stopped a terrorist attack on a Paris-bound passenger train last month, explained how he told his dad the news.

"I called him and then I was like, 'Well, first off, like, I'm okay. Like, yeah, I'm fine,'" Anthony Sadler told Jimmy Fallon. "'But a terrorist was on our train and he actually tried to shoot everybody, and me, Spencer and Alec had to jump him,'" Sadler continued. "And he was like, 'Okay...'"

Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC)

Salma Hayek tricked Jimmy Kimmel with her “Mexican birthday tradition.”

“You get to make a wish… and then if you smell the flavor of the cake… then your wish comes true,” explained Salma Hayek.

When Jimmy leaned over the cake, Salma shouted, “Mordida, mordida!” while shoving his face into it.
