At first, Jason Sudeikis popped up in a family photograph of the Miller family during the pilot. Then, in the final minutes of Season 1, not only did Phil/Tandy (Will Forte) mention his brother as he and Carol (Kristen Schaal) drove off into the desert sunset, but we also saw Sudeikis as an astronaut stuck in space. And judging by his tallying, he’s been up floating there for quite some time.

However, you (probably) won’t have to wait another whole season to see him again. Sudeikis will be returning to the post-apocalyptic comedy series when Season 2 airs this fall as a guest star. All we know so far about the not-yet-named brother is that he is an astronaut, and he’s got the same propensity towards facial hair as his sibling. But this isn’t Sudeikis’ first time playing a Miller (See: 2013’s comedy film We’re the Millers), so we’re not too worried about his portrayal.

Whatever happens, it looks like Season 2 will be veering in a different direction from the first, since Carol and Phil are “screwing the moon” and they’ve officially left the Tucson community. The season premiere will see them trying to find a new place of their own.

The Last Man on Earth returns on Sunday, September 27 at 9:30/8:30c on Fox.
