Season 2 of The Flash is bringing more than just a roster of new characters. It’s also bringing Barry (Grant Gustin) a slightly restyled supersuit. In this just-released photo (sure to become phone wallpapers around the geekiverse), you can see that young Mr. Allen’s costume, originally designed by Oscar winning Colleen Atwood, has undergone some minor but interesting upgrades.

The shoulders seem to be a bit more padded, the cowl’s lightening-bolt earpieces appear a tad smaller, and of course, the emblem on the chest is now the character’s traditional white, compared to last season’s dark red. It’s still dazzlingly slimming—expect to see monochromatic track suits on runways this fall!—and, for eagle-eyed fans, slightly familiar: The real first-look at the Scarlet Speedster’s sartorial evolution debuted on the front page of the April 24th, 2024 edition of the Central City Citizen, aka, future newspaper Harrison/Thawne (Tom Cavanagh) checked out in the episode “The Trap.” Still, we’re digging it.

The suit, along with the show, is set for an October 6th season premiere on The CW at 8/7c.
