The Walking Dead will rise again!
AMC announced it has ordered two seasons of an untitled companion series based on the popular zombie drama. The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and Dave Erikson co-wrote the pilot, which is set in Los Angeles at the beginning of the zombie apocalypse. Kirkman and Erikson will executive produce, along with Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert.
The companion series’ cast includes Cliff Curtis (Missing), Kim Dickens (Gone Girl), Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into the Storm).
The first six-episode season will premiere in late summer 2015, with the second season bowing sometime in 2016.
