It wasn’t so long ago that Saturday Night Live was haunted by charges of being a boys club; now, three of its womenfolk are rising up … against ghosts. The Hollywood Reporter has said that former SNL-er Kristen Wiig and current cast members Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon are in talks to headline Sony’s all-female reboot, along with Melissa McCarthy. (McCarthy wasn’t a cast member, but has scored Emmy nominations for her work as a host on the show.)

The foursome isn’t officially set to strap on their proton packs just yet, but the fact that director Paul Feig (who previously worked with Wiig and McCarthy on Bridesmaids) tweeted out a pic of the comedy-gold quartet makes this news even more believable than the idea of a giant marshmallow man wandering the streets of Manhattan.

Which, let’s be honest, isn’t that far-fetched either.
