American Ninja Warrior is proving to be as much of a beast as its competitors.

As the Emmy-nominated obstacle course from hell wraps up its most-watched season ever tonight, hosts Matt Iseman, Akbar Gbajabiamila and Kristine Leahy have a real  reason to cheer: Their addictive summer hit has been renewed for a sixth season. Original episodes are set to run on NBC next summer, with encore presentations airing on the Esquire Network.

Congrats, Iseman and Gbajabiamila!

“We couldn’t be more proud to see this show reach new heights and watch the affect it has on those who compete and strive to be their best,” stated NBC’s president of Alternative and Reality programming Paul Telegdy in the release. “The increased popularity of American Ninja Warrior on air, as well as its growing social and cultural impact, is a testament to the athletes who push themselves beyond their limits.”

Tonight, ANW fans will see one last batch of those athletes pushing themselves to dominate the ominous and insane course that is Mount Midoriyama in the fifth-season finale, airing at 8/7c on NBC.
