Eva Longoria comes from “a long line of givers.”

The actress and producer, whose new NBC comedy Telenovela premieres with a special 1-hour preview on Monday, Dec 7 at 10/9c, has made giving back a cornerstone of her life. “I thought ‘volunteer’ was a job, that’s how much we did it,” she says.

Her Eva Longoria Foundation is devoted to helping Latinas further their education and become entrepreneurs. Longoria was honored this fall at the inaugural Television Industry Advocacy Awards benefitting the Creative Coalition in partnership with TV Guide Magazine and TV Insider.
