Celebs Get Ready for the Emmys With Fried Chicken and Softball (VIDEO)
Salvaged dinners and Spanx are just some of the eclectic things that helped celebs get ready for this year’s 67th Primetime Emmy Awards:
Two Game of Thrones ladies “discovered” dinner in an unexpected place. “I found some fried chicken outside someone’s room… and then brought it into Maisie [Williams’s] room,” confessed Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark). “…So we decided to eat it,” added Williams (Arya Stark).

As for Emmy winner Tony Hale (Veep), his day was the usual: “I took my daughter to softball… you keep it in the normal because nothing about [the red carpet] is normal.” On the other hand, Jim Carter (Downton Abbey) took to sun tanning. “Because we don’t see much sun in England, I sat by the pool for as long as I could possibly could,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ellie Kemper (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) made dressing up “a very classy affair” with Bach, and Mad Men‘s John Slattery joked his routine included, “Spanx. And then more Spanx.”
