It’s a [Spoiler]!: Dre and Bow Find Out Baby Johnson’s Gender on ‘black-ish’

What’s in a name? A lot apparently.

On the February 8 episode of black-ish, Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow Johnson (Tracee Ellis Ross) throw a party to reveal the sex of their new baby. The pair will also settle on the yet-to-be-born child’s name—which daddy Dre gets to choose. (Apparently, we can’t fully blame him for the twins being called “Jack and Diane” as he and Rainbow take turns naming their children.) The problem: Dre comes up with a culturally significant moniker that doesn’t go down well with his wife or his mother, Ruby (Jenifer Lewis).

We’re guessing Dre’s going to have to worry more about pleasing the latter. Also, when did gender reveal parties become a thing?
