America’s Got Talent rings in the season with the two-hour special America’s Got Talent Holiday Spectacular. The event (December 19 on NBC) showcases performances from the variety competition’s most popular acts, like Season 11’s winner, singer Grace VanderWaal, and Season 9’s winner, magician Mat Franco.

Judge Heidi Klum and crooner Sal Valentinetti (above) duet on “Santa Baby,” during which Klum “straddles a giant candy cane accompanied by a band of gingerbread men,” executive producer Jason Raff reveals.

He also teases the return of Season 6’s Professor Splash, who dives into 10 inches of eggnog from about 20 feet. “We capture the holiday spirit, but in the unique way that only America’s Got Talent can.”
